The monster in green
Is knocking on my door
He's trying so hard
To put me on the floor
I won't let him in
No matter how hard he tries
He makes people upset
With his jealousy and lies
"You have NO place here!"
I stand and I shout
Life is to short
For envy or doubt
The monster in green
Gives up and goes away
I know I am safe
For another day
